AEK Athens was established in 1924 by a group of Constantinopolitans who named the club"Atheletic Union of Constantinople". Since then the club has become a powerhouse in the Greek Football and also one of the most successful Greek teams to play in European Competitions. They have won an astonishing number of Trophies;AEK_sml

- 11 LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS
- 14 CUPS
- 2 SUPER CUPS
- 1 LEAGUE CUP

AEK was also the first Greek club to make the last 8 in a European Competition and also the only Greek club to be found in the Quarter Finals of all the Champions Cup, the UEFA Cup and the Cup Winners Cup. A peak moment for the club was making it to the Semi Final of the UEFA Cup in season 1976-77.

The overall objective of AEK FC has been to attract those who believe in a higher value of sport and life and in the value of winning against one's self, with the sole objective of continuous progress and development.

AEK FC is the current Greek Cup Holder after winning the 2010/11 Greek Cup against Atromitos 3-0.
