On arrival in Athens AEK FC staff along with the Official AEK Team Bus welcomed our touring party. Our football journey had just begun. For the next 2 weeks our players were to live the life of professional footballers, which included the following:

 

  - Training daily with the U17 & U20 of AEK FC.

  - Be coached by current AEK FC coaches and former greats of AEK FC Daniel Batista & Harry Kopitsis, coaches of the U20 & U17 respectively.

  - Be coached by AEK FC Youth Director of Coaching Tasso Stasinopoulos.

  - Watch the AEK FC 1st team train and meet the players and coaching staff which included former Barcelona & Chelsea legend Eidur Gudjohnsen, Greek Internationals Dellas, Liberopoulos, Kafes, Makos and Australian Socceroo Nathan Burns.

  - Watch live UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Greek Super League games.

  - Play 3 Friendly games against AEK FC, Panathinaikos & Atromitos

  - Meet AEK FC President Stavros Adamidis, Technical Director Arnar Grettarson, Head Scout Toni Saveski and club staff.

  - Be ball boys for AEK FC 1st team during a Greek Super league game.

 

At the completion of our training camp 3 of our Academy players were asked to remain back until the end of the year for further training. These players were Spiro Apokis, Chris Kolistasis & Petros Stefadouros. This was an amazing achievement for these boys and the journey continued for them while the rest of the touring party returned home on the 13th December with an experience of a lifetime and memories that will last forever.
